Koku intends to channel the olfactory and visual essence of the beautiful Tanzanian Island, Zanzibar in her products. Koku Gonza started her butter for beauty making journey in 2008. She initially stepped into the beauty and cosmetics industry as a model. She modeled for several brands before creating her own products. Koku’s inspiration behind making butter stems from her love of natural beauty. Before creating her own skin and hair care products, she struggled to find the perfect products for herself. After suffering with acne and hair loss, Koku wanted to make a product that healed as well as naturally enhanced skin and hair.
